the time that has passed between our first GAME DESIGN LAB 1.0 in december and now has brought us a new flow and an important realisation: playmakers industries needs its own crystalized game prototype.
we have been playing from the start. what we realized is that that each of us (Philippe, Julia, me) was playing his own game and we haven’t yet reached the point where we have a shared vision of what our collective game is.
so before we get to GDL 2.0, we are making a pit stop in version 1.9 in which we will be participants, just like everyone else, go through the 48h challenge and come out of it with a rocking game prototype, just like everyone else.
the differences from 1.0 will be a project centered design of the flow (see pic) and the fact that registration will be limited to those who have been at GDL 1.0 and their trusted friends.
